Introduction.

This is the second part of a longer course dedicated to vehicular communications. It covers fundamental aspects of radio network design, with specific reference to vehicular applications. Being only 30 hours, it provides only very basic insight. After an introduction to radio resource assignment, fading and interference issues and elementary countermeasures, the general focus is on recent/future radio standards for V2X (Vehicle-to-X) communications, like WAVE, LTE-V2V, 5G. The course will be integrated by seminars provided by companies/researchers of the vehicular ecosystem.
